This is the best view I got of the salt flats west of Salt Lake City. It was a hazy day and the visibility in this area was minimal. You can smell the salt in the air (and sulfur in some spots).

This is the best view I got of the salt flats west of Salt Lake City. It was a hazy day and the visibility in this area was minimal. You can smell the salt in the air (and sulfur in some spots).

I've never heard of this. Is there salt on the ground, like snow?
Yup...just salt on the ground like snow or dirt would gather. Look it up. It's cool.
