I finally got out of LAX (it only took six hours) and had a great flight up the coast to SF. The views from the plane were awesome and made me very excited for the road trip in the same direction. Shortly after I landed, Bec and I walked to 819 Valencia Street in SF and went to Asha, a great Thai restaurant here. Everything we got was yummy: a peanut spinach with tofu, Duck Red Curry (I think), and a chicken noodle dish with veggies. The dessert we got was fried bananas with coconut ice cream and I will say it was to die for. Put this on your list.
