Perhaps you heard about the SpeedFit on "Wait, Wait..." I'm not really sure who the target audience is for this product, but watching this video depresses me a bit.

Ewww... the weird music was enough to make me stop watching. It actually looks like more work than walking or running since you have to power the wheels... I guess it would be beneficial cause you could run really really really fast, and then cruise for a bit...
