Well, when they first asked me to take on this garden project I was hesitant. I had just finished up with the new rose garden at the Bronx Botanical Gardens. But I threw caution to the Santa Anita wind and dug right in (gardener's humor). I was especially careful not to let global warming or water shortages interfere with my vision. As they sang in the Wizard of Oz. "...hoe, hoe, hoe (again, gardeners humor) and a couple of la-de-da's..."
