There's a new search engine in town. My town to be exact. Menlo Park company Cuil just unveiled their response to Google, which they claim will be better. I like the format of the results, but you decide.

hmmm... very simple, like it. However, when I began typing htings in, a scroll down menu of choices popped up. This is too much visually for me. Sometimes I just want to write it and not press the down arrow after I've searched their responses. And, maybe I'm just too used to Google.com, but I think I prefer the "list" rather than the column.

But, this was after a 2.5 second trial run.
I heard about this on NPR a few weeks ago and also thought it was too much all over the page.
Maybe I just need to be retrained, but reading down as opposed to reading all over the place like a newspaper makes more sense to my brain.
